Parent Jobs

As a parent of one of the students at C.L.A.S.S. it is expected that you will find a fit in one of a number of jobs that are available. Each parent will contribute by serving in one of the below areas.

Parent Job Responsibilities

Teacher: Teach a subject(s) of your choosing to the age group(s) that it is most appropriate for. Will plan engaging weekly classes and teach according to our statement of faith. (May team teach with another parent alternating weeks/months/semesters).
Teacher’s Aide: Will assist the teacher during class or possibly do prep before class. Must be ready to substitute if the need arises.
Hall Monitor: Will monitor hallways during class and transitional times. (2 positions).
Recess Monitor: Will monitor students at recess (2 positions).
Lunch Monitor: Monitor students at lunch. (1 position).
Lunch Coordinator: Coordinate & pick up any purchased lunches. (Pizza, subs, etc.).
Campus Liaison: Check families in and out. Field questions when co-leaders are teaching. Ring bell to signify change of classes. (1 position).
Grader: Grade papers for various classes. (Many).
Morning Setup: Set up tables, etc. and arrange classrooms as needed.
Afternoon Breakdown: Breakdown tables, etc. arrange classrooms back to original
Clean-up Crew: Assure that trash is removed, classrooms get swept/vacuumed and bathrooms are straightened.
Substitute: Step in and substitute for any position needed.
